American Idol to Return With Some Changes

The extremely popular American Idol reality-tv show will return with a few changes next year. The details were leaked here on a blog called MJ's Big Blog (via MSNBC) that covers the reality show. Some of the noteworthy changes include a semifinal round that will include 36 contestants instead of 24 and no Idol Gives Back. There will also be less focus on the bad singers this season.

It was also reported in August that Kara DioGuardi has joined American Idol as a fourth judge for this season. The premiere of the eight season of American Idol is January 13th. The offical site is located here.
