Obi-Wan's Cloak Sells for Over $100,000

The cloak worn by Alec Guiness as Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars has sold at a London auction for $104,200.
The cloak was part of what was considered to be Britain's largest auction of film and television costumes, Sky News said. An outfit worn by Sean Connery provided the day's biggest surprise, auctioneers at Bonhams said.

The two-piece tweed suit and hat he wore as Harrison Ford's dad in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" was expected to fetch no more than $2,900. It sold for just under $51,000. Another Connery item -- a dinner jacket he wore as James Bond in the 1965 movie "Thunderball" -- sold for $64,000.
Obi Wan's cloak is a pretty cool thing to own. Still...$104,200? That's a lot of money for a cloak, even one worn by a famous Jedi Knight.
