Robin Hood Makes $6 Million Overseas

Robin Hood

Variety reports that Robin Hood got off to a great start overseas. It made $6 million on a weekday in several European markets.
As the international scene was toasting "Robin Hood" Wednesday during its opening night gala at Cannes, overseas auds also turned out for the early bow of Universal-Imagine Entertainment's epic pic, which grossed an estimated $6 million in several European markets.

French-speaking markets led the barrage, with previews in other key territories like the U.K., Germany and Italy.
Deadline.com says the $6 million is on the high-end of Universal's expectations. The next test for Robin Hood will be the Thursday midnight showings.
