Shrek Wins Memorial Day Holiday Box Office

Shrek Forever After won the weekend box office. It also won the Memorial Day box office. You can see the Memorial Day box office report here. The animated kids film has now made nearly $150 million in its first week in theaters.

Sex and the City 2 beat Prince of Persia over the weekend, but Prince of Persia came in second on Memorial Day. Overall, the box office was not very good and down around 20% from the year before.
