Jo Jo Turned Down Hannah Montana Role ITV reports in the video below that young singing sensation Jo Jo (aka Joanna Levesque) actually turned down the opportunity to star in Disney's hit TV show Hannah Montana. This was before the show became a huge hit on Disney and helped launch the career of Miley Cyrus, who is now starting to overshadow the show. We liked Jo Jo in the fun mermaid movie Aquamarine. Jo Jo's only seventeen and she can both act and sing well so she should manage a successful career of her own without the need for Hannah Montana. Jo Jo has no regrets for saying "No" to Hannah. She's down for far more serious roles including a role in a Lifetime adaptation of True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet.
