Denzel Washington gives an outstanding performance in this somewhat uneven, violent and quirky thriller. Dakota Fanning nicely underplays her role as the little girl Denzel must protect, and director Tony Scott's wild cinematographic techniques make for some interesting viewing for film buffs.
