Cheaper by the Dozen
home > films > cheaper by the dozenDespite an excellent cast which includes Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt, the script really is awful. The Dad is painted as a bad guy because he wants to take a better job in another city which will allow the huge family to live in a decent house for once. The wife and mother of twelve writes a novel which becomes a bestseller in less time than it takes to whip up dinner. There are some funny bits with the kids, though, and the characters are all just so nice, it's hard to grumble too much.
