Posted on April 15, 2014
Hilary Duff is returning to television in a new TV Land series, called Younger. The show also stars Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar and Miriam Shor. Deadline reports that TV Land ordered the 12-episode series and plans to premiere it this Fall.
Younger is written and executive produced by Darren Star. It is based on the novel by Pamela Redmond. It follows a single mother (Foster) who is trying to get back into the working world. She passes herself off as only 26 in order to land a job.
TV Land President Larry W. Jones says in a statement, "Everyone at TV Land is so passionate about this show and working with Darren. Younger's serialized style is different for us, yet fits our brand with its humor and relatability. These are compelling characters that our audience will root for, love and love to hate."
