Psych is Canceled, James Roday and Dule Hill Make the Announcement to Fans

Unfortunately, the rumors are true. Season 8 is the final season of USA network's Psych which stars James Roday and Dule Hill. After tonight's episode, the show will go on hiatus for two weeks during the winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Then it will return on February 26th for the last five episodes. We just love Psych and think it's ending much too early. James and Dule made the official announcement today in a video. It's hilarious, of course even though the news is sad.

One bright note: Chris McCumber, President of USA Network, said in a statement that "The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved, and will be an exclamation point on the series' incredible run. And while the series will wrap in March somehow I don't believe we've heard the last of Shawn and Gus." So does that mean there might be a Psych movie in the future? Because that would be awesome.
