bombshell
finally confessing that she had an affair with Harrison Ford during the filming of Star Wars.
Now, after decades of rumours, she finally spills the beans on her relationship with ever-hunky Harrison, 63, who played Han Solo. She tells Justin Lee Collins in new C4 show Bring Back . . . Star Wars: "I went on the film saying 'I'm going to have an affair', like it was a kiwi, an exotic fruit -- because I'd never had one!" She adds: "I had a crush on Harrison for sure. Harrison is great fun when he's had a few drinks."Ok, first off no one wants to see George Lucas in the Princess Leia slave outfit, that's for sure. Second, the idea of Harrison Ford waiting naked in the closet for Princess Leia to get back to her dressing room is just mind-boggling. What a prankster that Harrison is! Star Wars: The Clone Wars will premiere as a feature film in August. This will be followed by the debut of the television series on the Cartoon Network in the fall. You can see a sneak peak of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars here (via Fantasy SF Blog). "I felt there were a lot more Star Wars stories left to tell," said George Lucas. "I was eager to start telling some of them through animation and, at the same time, push the art of animation forward." Lucasfilm says Star Wars: The Clone Wars showcases an entirely new look and feel to the Star Wars universe. Old favorites like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padme Amidala will appear alongside new heroes like Anakin's padawan learner, Ahsoka. Sinister villains include Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous. "Nothing like this has ever been produced for television," said Stuart Snyder, President/COO Turner Animation,Young Adults & Kids Media. "For 30 years, Star Wars has shown that it appeals to a huge breadth of fans. The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network will be appointment television for everyone in the family. We're thrilled to be working with Lucasfilm again and very excited to be playing a role in bringing this remarkable adventure to viewers." The cloak was part of what was considered to be Britain's largest auction of film and television costumes, Sky News said. An outfit worn by Sean Connery provided the day's biggest surprise, auctioneers at Bonhams said.Obi Wan's cloak is a pretty cool thing to own. Still...$104,200? That's a lot of money for a cloak, even one worn by a famous Jedi Knight. Variety reports that 200 Stormtroopers and a float inspired by the planet Naboo will also be featured as part of a Lucasfilm's "Star Wars Spectacular." Variety says the people dressing up as the Stormtroopers are from the 501st Legion, a group of hardcore Star Wars fans.
Centerpiece of the "Star Wars" floats -- the "Star Wars Spectacular," as Lucasfilm dubs it -- will be 200 members of the 501st Legion, a 3,500-strong group of hardcore fans who appear publicly in full "Star Wars" costume.Variety says there will also be a Forest Moon of Endor float and Ewoks. George Lucas is this year's Rose Parade Grand Marshal -- which is why the Star Wars floats are part of the parade. You can see some stormtroopers in training here. Lucasfilm said they did not request the videos to be removed.
Lucasfilm also posted the following message on its blog.
Lucasfilm has been informed that YouTube recently removed from its site several fan-made Star Wars spoofs and parodies. We would like the fan film community to know that this was not done at our request.You can see the Star Wars spoofs here. Stephen Colbert has also joined in the Star Wars fun with some jedi action of his own. He created a short video of himself fighting with a light saber in front of a green screen and challenged video makers to turn it into cool Jedi videos.
