Here is the trailer for Northmen - A Viking Saga starring Tom Hopper, Ryan Kwanten, Ken Duken, Charlie Murphy and James Norton. Tom Hopper (Black Sails, Merlin) stars as Viking commander Asbjorn who sets sail for Britain with a group of warriors.

They sail to Britain to sack Lindisfarne for its gold, but their plans go awry when their ship is caught in a major storm. Their ship is destroyed and they barely make it to shore in Scotland, which is enemy territory. Their survival depends on being able to reach Danelagh, a Vicking stronghold. They meet a mysterious sword-bearing monk (Ryan Kwantan) who agrees to lead them to safely. When they run afoul of the King of Scotland by kidnapping his daughter, they are in big trouble. The king sends the Wolf Pack -- a notorious group of vicious warriors -- to kill the Vikings. But Vikings are not that easy to kill.

The group fights back against the Scottish mercenaries, turning the tables on them. Ed Skrein, who was just chosen to bet he star of the rebooted Transporter franchise, and Swiss actor Anatole Taubman co-star in the film which has a Swiss director, Claudio Fah (Sniper: Reloaded, Hollow Man 2). Charlie Murphy (Philomena) is the Scottish princess. The film hits theaters on October 23rd in Europe the U.S. release date has been set yet.

So, to review: Ryan Kwantan is a mysterious quarterstaff-wielding monk leading the Vikings in a cat and mouse game against mercenaries in the Scottish highlands? Yes, please. Take a look:
