Vin Diesel Wields a Flaming Sword in The Last Witch Hunter Trailer

Vin Diesel is an immortal witch hunter named Kaulder in the first trailer for The Last Witch Hunter. Kaulder has fought evil for centuries, keeping humanity safe. When he finally killed the Witch Queen, she cursed him with immortality, knowing he would always mourn outliving his wife and daughter.

In the present day Kaulder is the last Witch Hunter left alive. When the Witch Queen manages to get resurrected, Kaulder must go to war again to save humanity. He is aided in his quest by Father Dolan (Michael Caine) and a young ally played by Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie. Elijah Wood also stars. Julie Engelbrecht is the Witch Queen. The film was directed by Breck Eisner (Sahara, The Crazies). It arrives in theaters on October 23, 2015.

In the trailer Michael Caine does the narration, which is always a good sign. Vin Diesel gets to wield a flaming sword and battle all kind of creatures in some kind of parallel world. He also gets to threaten the Queen Witch with imminent demise in an excellent one liner. Vin doesn't say too much in the trailer, but we think he's going to do an awesome job protecting humanity.
