Wachowskis Planning SF Action Trilogy Called Jupiter Ascending

The Wachowski siblings are going back to their SF roots, according to Deadline. The team responsible for The Matrix - and the disappointing Speed Racer -- have a new project in the works called Jupiter Ascending.

The project is said to be a major science fiction action franchise at Warner Bros. and the plot is being kept tightly under wraps. The trilogy is set to begin filming this spring with an A-list star in the lead. It's all very mysterious -- and intriguing. Lana and Andy Wachowski are currently directing segments of Cloud Atlas which stars Tom Hanks.
