Avril Lavigne Wins Three Juno Awards

Avril Lavigne had a big night at the 2005 Juno Awards. She won three Juno awards in the Fan Choice, Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year (for Under My Skin) categories. Billy Talent won two awards: one for Group of the Year and one for their album Billy Talent which won Album of the Year.

Other winners included American Idiot by Green Day (International Album of the Year); Chuck by Sum 41 (Rock Album of the Year); "Crabbuckit" by k-os (Single of the Year); Feist (New Artist of the Year) and Alexisonfire (New Group of the Year).

The Juno Awards are Canadian music awards given annually by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
