Joe DiMaggio Honored With U.S. Forever Stamp

Joe DiMaggio US Postal Service 2012 Stamp

New York Yankees player Joe DiMaggio is being honored with a 2012 U.S. forever stamp. DiMaggio is best known for his 56-game hitting streak in 1941. He help lead the Yankees to ten pennants and nine World Series titles.

Artist/illustrator Kadir Nelson based the artwork in the stamp on a photograph of DiMaggio. The stamp will be part of a Major League Baseball All-Star collection.
