NSA Spying News Alters John Oliver's First Day Hosting The Daily Show

Jon Stewart is taking a break from The Daily Show this summer. John Oliver is taking over as host. His first day hosting followed the shocking news from the Washington Post that the NSA is spying on Americans and has access to data from nine major Internet companies through a secret program called PRISM. Oliver says he planned to do British jokes about tea and football, but all that had to be scrapped. He also read from a note that Stewart left him that said no big news stories ever happen over the summer. The Daily Show also launched a segment called "Good News! You're Not Paranoid."
