Emily Blunt Shows Her Powers in The Huntsman: Winter's War Trailer

An interesting new trailer for The Huntsman: Winter's War has dropped. The entire premise of the film is that the story before Snow White (Kristen Stewart) showed up is actually the most interesting part of the tale. We have no doubt that is true. In this trailer we see powerful royal sisters who are torn apart by jealousy and grief.

Oscar winner Charlize Theron returns as Queen Ravenna. She is jealous of her sister Freya (Emily Blunt) because the Mirror tells her that Freya's child will grow to be more beautiful than Ravenna. The Mirror warns Ravenna that if anything happens to the child, Freya will do something terrible to the land. It's not spelled out in the trailer but it looks like Ravenna actually kills Freya's baby.

Freya goes mad with grief, locks herself in a castle Frozen-style and covers the land in ice. She also raises an army of Huntsman, including warriors played by Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain. The Queens go to war. The greatest Huntsman Eric (Hemsworth) breaks Freya's greatest rule and falls in love with Sara (Jessica Chastain).

The cgi is excellent and so is the cinematography in the trailer. Charlize and Emily are fantastic as the battling sisters. The film was directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan and produced by Joe Roth (Maleficent. As for Snow White: we don't miss her at all. Take a look:
