Freddie Prinze Jr. Makes Beer Roast Chicken on the Today Show

Freddie Prinze Jr. has a new cookbook out called Back to the Kitchen. The book contains recipes inspired by his Puerto Rican heritage and cooking with his mother. The book includes 75 recipes. The book includes a forward by Freddie's wife, actress Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Prinze Jr. appeared on the Today show to make one of his recipes. He chose a chicken dish topped with beer. It includes lemon, lime, orange and Mexican beer. You can find the recipe for Freddie Prinze Jr.'s Roast Chicken & Fried Brussels Sprouts on today.com.

Freddie says him mom was a "Jedi master in the kitchen." He seasoned the chicken and then put it in a roasting pan filled with onions, orange slices and lime slices. He says he uses the beer because he loves the flavor. Take a look:
