Jay McCarroll to Debut Film About Fashion Industry

Jay McCarroll, the winning designer of the first Project Runway, is releasing a film called Eleven Minutes on February 20th about his foray into the fashion world. Reuters says that winning the show was both a blessing and a curse for McCarroll.
On the one hand - it gave him the publicity most young designers salivate over. On the other, he had to work even harder to prove himself to the New York fashion scene who viewed him primarily as a tv personality, not a designer.
McCarroll says about the New York Fashion world, "it's a very tight little group of people that I'm not really that concerned with." However, he also says, "I want to earn the respect of the New York fashion community."
Jay McCarroll's film will be available on February 20th. Here is the trailer:
