Jonah Hill and Miles Teller Are Arms Dealers in the Comedy War Dogs

Jonah Hill and Miles Teller star in the first trailer for War Dogs, the true story bawsed on the Rolling Stone article by Guy Lawson titled "The Stoner Arms Dealers: How Two American Kids Became Big-Time Weapons Traders."
The film tells the story of two young Americans, David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli, who managed to win a $300 million contract from the Pentagon to arm America's allies in Afghanistan. The Bush administration outsourced a great deal of the war: billions were spent on contracts for weapons, supplies and personnel. In 2007, the Pentagon made a big push to turn the war around and part of the plan involved getting a great deal of weaponry into Afghanistan. To do that they needed contractors with access to the grey market.
Under federal law, all bidding on military contracts must be open and small businesses must be allowed to compete for government contracts. The story is a convoluted one, but it has many comic elements which are put to good use by director and co-writer Todd Phillips (The Hangover).
The film also stars Ana de Armas, Jeff Pierre, Bradley Cooper and J. B. Blanc. it is set to hit theaters on August 19, 2016. The trailer is both funny and disturbing. Take a look:
