The trailer for the animated film Sing has landed and it's packed with singing animals. A clever kaola named Buster (Matthew McConaughey) decides to put on a singing competition to save his theater. His assistant sheep (John C. Reilly) is determined to help him put on the extravaganza, although it is a really large undertaking and he has his doubts about it success.

A group of animals are the top contenders for the cash prize. Rosita, an overworked and unappreciated mom of 25 piglets (Reese Witherspoon) decides to enter the contest to fulfill her dream of being a singer. A punk rock porcupine (Scarlett Johansson) wants to be a star.

Another compelling story is the gorilla named Johnny (Taron Egerton) who has been born into a life of crime. His dad is in prison and wants Johnny to do more heists. But he is torn between his dad and his longing to sing and play the piano. Johnny really wants to leave the family business, but his piano playing is awful. As for his singing -- who knew Taron Egerton could really sing? That was a bit of a surprise. Seth MacFarlane plays a mouse with pipes and we all know he's got the skills to win any contest.

The film also stars the voices of Nick Offerman, Leslie Jones, Peter Serafinowicz, Jennifer Saunders, Nick Kroll, Jay Pharoah and Beck Bennett. It looks like a lot of fun. Be sure to check out Rosita's dance sequence in the grocery aisles. take a look:
