The Weinstein Company posted the full trailer for The Imitation Game which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the brilliant mathematician Alan Turing. Turing created the first computer and is widely regarded as the father of computer science.

Turing and his team worked at the top-secret Bletchley Park facility in Great Britain during World War II. Turing broke the code of the German Enigma machine which helped turn the tide of the war. Winston Churchill credited Turing as being the greatest single contributor to winning the war against Hitler.

After the war, Turing was arrested for indecency when he admitted to a gay relationship with a young man. Faced with prison, he agreed to undergo hormone treatments. He died very young a few years later from cyanide poisoning, which his mother believes was due to inhaling a gas from a cyanide experiment in his home.

Turing was treated terribly by the British authorities during a time in which being gay was a crime. He was pardoned just last year by Queen Elizabeth and the British government issued an apology for its actions.

Cumberbatch as Turing is perfect casting. The film, which also stars Keira Knightley, already has Oscar buzz. Mark Strong, Matthew Goode, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, Allen Leech and Matthew Beard also star. The film will be released on November 21st. Take a look:
