Ryan Reynolds and Sir Ben Kingsley star in the first trailer for the SF thriller Selfless. Sir Ben plays a billionaire who is dying of cancer. He is contacted by a mysterious firm called Phoenix Biogenic which offers him the chance to live forever. They are determined to give the best minds in society a chance to be immortal.

They offer the billionaire a perfect specimen of a man, played by Ryan Reynolds. At a super secret laboratory they transfer the dying man's consciousness into the younger man's body. At first, he is thrilled. He's rich, he's young and he sets out to have a good time. But then he starts getting flashbacks from the life of the man whose body he is inhabiting.

Instead of ignoring the symptoms, he becomes quite disturbed at the thought of how exactly this organization gets its young bodies. So he starts to investigate. He does not like the answers he finds and what's worse -- his own consciousness is starting to fade away.

The film was directed by Tarsem Singh (The Cell, Mirror, Mirror, Immortals), who is known for his arresting visual style. The trailer is excellent, as is the supporting cast. Matthew Goode (The Imitation Game) plays Albright, the creepy scientist who conducts the mind transfer, but holds back some important caveats about the procedure. Otehr cast members include Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery and Victor Garber.
