Jennifer Lopez and Lynda Lopez Share Best Advice Their Mother Gave Them

Jennifer Lopez and Lynda Lopez attended the Mom+Social event in New York City on May 8, 2013. Mom+Social was a one-day gathering focused on motherhood and the role of social media, technology and philanthropy to help improve the health of moms and children around the world. The two sisters are co-founders of the Lopez Family Foundation.

Jennifer and Lynda also co-chaired the Global Mom Relay, a virtual relay connecting moms everywhere through the power of social media in support of the United Nation's Every Woman Every Child movement. In this interview, Jennifer and Lynda share the best advice their mother ever gave them and their hopes for their children. The sisters say the best message from their mom was to be independent.
