Trailer for the Wachowskis Netflix Series Sense8

The Wachowski siblings (The Matrix trilogy, Cloud Atlas) have turned their sights to television. Netflix has released the trailer for their new action SF television show Sense8. The title is a play on the word sensate, which means to be aware.
The series tells the story of eight strangers who are are of different genders, races, religions and nationalities who suddenly find themselves connected telepathically. They can use each others' knowledge and skills and can communicate. The series' creators say that this is an evolutionary leap for humans which was caused by technology.
The sensates include Will, a Chicago cop (Brian J. Smith), Riley, a party girl from iceland (Tuppence Middleton), Capheus, a kind and caring bus driver in Nairobi (Aml Ameen), Sun, a South Korean businesswoman who is an expert martial artist (Bae Doona), Lito, a handsome Mexican actor (Miguel Ángel Silvestre), Kala, scientist and pharmacist from Mumbai (Tina Desai), Wolfgana, a safecracker from Berline (Max Riemelt), and Nomi, a blogger from San Francisco (Jamie Clayton). Lost's Naveen Andrews is Jonas, a mysterious man who tries to bring the sensates together and help them.
We think it would be incredibly useful to have access to top notch martial arts capabilities when needed. But they really need a computer whiz, if you ask us. And what possible help is having a party girl in your head? Perhaps she could useful when choosing hair extensions. Certainly a famous actor could help out in a situation where you need to prevaricate. As for the bus driver, well, we're not sure how useful his skills will be. But hey, it's the Wachowskis and Naveen Andrews, so we're in. The entire series debuts on Netflix on June 5th. Take a look:
