Alan Taylor to Direct Thor Sequel

Deadline reports that Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) has been hired by Marvel to direct the sequel to Thor. Kenneth Branagh did a terrific job directed Thor.

The movie, starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, was well received by critics and had a big $448 million worldwide box office gross. We were hoping Kenneth Branagh would return, but the Game of Thrones director should be able to deliver an awesome sequel.

Taylor arrives after Patty Jenkins left with creative differences being cited as the reason Jenkins departed according to IMDB.

Natalie Portman is said to be upset about Jenkins' exit.
