Amazon Releases First Teaser Trailer for Woody Allen's Crisis in Six Scenes

Amazon released the first teaser trailer for the Woody Allen comedy series Crisis in Six Scenes. The original series was written and directed by Allen. He also stars in the series, along with Miley Cyrus, Elaine May, Michael Rapaport, David Harbour and Lewis Black. The show is set in the turbulent 1960s.

The show centers around a middle class family whose lives are turned upside down when a guest arrives who really shakes things up. In this teaser we see Allen sitting in a barber chair, talking to his barber (Max Casella). Allen hands the barber a photo of James Dean and tells him to cut his hair just like the photo. The horrified barber tells Allen that there is no way he can make him look like James Dean.

Allen plays a novelist, which is right in his wheelhouse. The barber mentioned he read Allen's last book, but it "took all winter." And why did it take so long to read a 200 page novella? "I kept dozing off."

We have no idea what role Miley Cyrus is playing in the film. Perhaps she's the houseguest that turns everything upside down? Amazon has said they want to renew the series for another season, but it's up to Woody and his schedule. He makes one feature film a year, which he also writes. Take a look:
