Anna Kendrick Looks for Love in First Table 19 Trailer

Anna Kendrick is having a terrible weekend in the first trailer for Table 19. Anna plays Eloise, who has unwisely agreed to attend the wedding of the sister of her former boyfriend (Wyatt Russell). He dumped her by text and she partially burned the invite before changing her mind and sending in her acceptance. Now she's stuck at Table 19 in the back of the room with the bride's former nanny and other random people.

Eloise informs the rest of the table's guests (Lisa Kudrow, June Squibb, Craig Robinson, and Stephen Merchant) that the bride's mother puts people they don't care about at Table 19. You know, the kind of table that if it disappeared during the reception no one would notice -- or care.

This announcement horrifies her table mates and they set out to have some fun. Meanwhile Eloise has met a new romantic prospect, so perhaps the wedding is not a total waste of time after all.

The film was directed by Jeffrey Blitz (The Office, Parks and Recreation) and the film has a sadsack comedy that works well for the talented cast. But does anyone doubt that Eloise will find true love eventually? The film hits theaters on January 20, 2017. Take a look:
