Ellen DeGeneres Reveals Full Finding Dory Trailer

Posted on March 9, 2016

Ellen DeGeneres debuted the first full trailer for Finding Dory The new animated film from Pixar picks up about six months after the events in Finding Nemo. Dory, voiced by Ellen, is starting to actually remember things which is amazing since she has a terrible memory. One day when they are watching the stingray migration with Nemo's school class, the children want to know how the stingrays know where to go.

The teacher says, "Migration is about going home, which is where you're from," and that the way you know where to go is, "Instinct. Something deep inside you that feels so familiar you have to listen to it." Dory then remembers her mother's voice saying she'll never forget Dory. Dory asks her mom, "What if I forget you?"

Dory and her friends set off on an epic quest to find her parents. Somehow she ends up in a kitchen with a very grumpy octopus named Hank (Ed O'Neill). The octopus makes his way to the sink then accidentally turns on the garbage disposal while he is in it. That's a pretty graphic and violent thing to have happen in a Pixar animated film. And we don't see Hank after that. Is that the end of Hank? He accidentally kills or maims himself with a garbage disposal? That's not funny. Octopi do have the ability to regenerate limbs, so they should have shown that in the trailer. Hopefully that's what happens next in the film.

The film also stars the voices of Albert Brooks as Marlin, Hayden Rolence as Nemo, Ty Burrell as Bailey the Whale, Diane Keaton as Dory's mom Jenny, and Eugene Levy as Dory's dad Charlie. Idris Elba, Micheael Sheen and Dominic West also voice characters in the film. The film hits theaters on June 17th. Until then we will be worried about Hank. Take a look:
