Gal Gadot Fights An Army in First Full Wonder Woman Trailer

Warner Bros. released the first full trailer for the upcoming Wonder Woman feature film starring Gal Gadot. The trailer begins with a shot of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor washed up on a beautiful beach, where presumably he has been shot down as he is an aviator during World War I. She asks him if he is a man, as clearly she has never seen one before. Taken aback he wants to know if he doesn't look like a man.

She rescues him and brings him back to the palace of Queen Hippolyta where he asks about her father. She tells him, "I had no father. I was brought to life by Zeus." So apparently the origin story the director is going with is the one where she was made of clay and brought to life by Zeus. Somehow he convinces her to join him in fighting in World War I and she is certainly up for the challenge. In one amazing scene she takes on the entire German army in trench warfare, wielding her shield and her lasso of truth.

In one scene Steve doesn't want her to undertake a dangerous mission telling her, "I can't let you do this." She calmly replies, "What I do is not up to you." That's a lot to deal with for a guy from the early 1900s, but Steve Trevor is up to that challenge and the scene where his secretary tells Diana Prince what she does for Steve (anything he tells her to do) is very funny. The film was directed by Patty Jenkins and also stars Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen and Lucy Davis. We were definitely getting a little bit of a Xena vibe in parts especially with the music, and that is a very good thing. Take a look:
