Jason Statham Does Amazing Stunts in Mechanic: Resurrection Trailer

Jason Statham and Jessica Alba star in the first trailer for Mechanic: Resurrection. Statham returns as hitman Arthur Bishop, who has retired from his profession. He has settled down with the love of his life Gina. But his past comes calling when Gina is kidnapped. The ransom? Bishop has to perform three assassinations around the world and make it look like they were accidents.

The trailer opens with an absolutely incredible scene of a man swimming in a pool that hang out over the edge of a high rise building. Statham climbs up the building, swings over to the underside of the pool where he demonstrates why pools hanging out over the edge of buildings are such a bad idea. Needless to say, this is quite shocking for the guy who was just out for his morning swim.

Bishop is furious about being blackmailed and apparently teams up with one of his targets, played by Tommy Lee Jones. Jessica Alba got her start in James Cameron's Dark Angel, in which she had plenty of action scenes. It looks like she gets to participate in the fun this time around too.

The film hits theaters on August 26th, 2016, and looks like fun. Take a look:
