Michael Bay Confirms That Mark Wahlberg Will Star in Transformers 4
Posted on November 9, 2012
After all the rumors and the denials, it turns out that Mark Wahlberg really is going to star in Transformers 4. Michael Bay announced on his website that the film's release date will be July 27th, 2014.
Bay said, "Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on Pain and Gain and I'm so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers' legacy."
Bay will direct the film which will start shooting in the spring of 2013. Paramount Pictures and Hasbro are still producing and Steven Spielberg is executive producing. No story line or female lead has been announced, but we have to wonder if Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will be back. We're thinking Bay is going to cast someone new to be Wahlberg's love interest. We just can't see him and Rosie, somehow.
