Nasty Aliens Abound in First Alien: Covenant Trailer

The first trailer for Alien: Covenant was released and it's a corker. The film which follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant. The ship is headed across the galaxy to a remote planet. They find the planet, which seems like a perfect place to put a human colony. Now, you know what that means...it's no paradise...for humans, anyway.

They humans encounter a terrifying species that colonizes humans with deadly results. Yes, there are lots of aliens bursting out of people's bodies during very inopportune moments. Hey, it's Alien. It must happen. Although, we must say that this trailer is so unlike Prometheus that we were surprised.

We get a glimpse of Michael Fassbender as the ship's android, David, but he doesn't do much in the trailer. And where are the Engineers? Have they given up going back to Earth to wipe us out? We need answers. Sadly, we won't get answers until May 19, 2017, when the film is released. Or has Ridley Scott abandoned the storyline from Prometheus altogether? That would be a shame.

Directed by Ridley Scott, the film also stars Noomi Rapace, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby. Take a look:
