Lily James Fights Zombies in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Trailer

The first trailer for the film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is here. Lily James stars as Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine in Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice. She is a classic Regency heroine, who has mastered all the social requirements of the time to be considered a proper young lady. But she also has another, particular set of skills: she fights zombies.
When Smith's novel came out it horrified many Austen fans and thrilled others. It sold quite well, hence the feature film treatment. Lily James has clearly been training hard since Cinderella. Mercifully,. she's wearing Regency clothing so she gets lots of Empire waist gowns, which are must better for fighting in than a corset and a ballgown.
The cast is excellent: Matt Smith (who was the Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who) is Mr. Collins, Sam Riley is Mr. Darcy and Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister from Game of Thrones) is Mr. Bennet. The cast also includes Lena Headey, Douglas Booth, Jack Huston, Suki Waterhouse and Hermione Corfield.
The film was directed by Burr Steers (17 Again) from a screenplay by Seth Grahame-Smith. We didn't read the novel, but we are very interested to see how this plays on the screen. The trailer is funny and the actions scenes look well-done. Take a look:
