Red Hot Chili Peppers Do Carpool Karaoke With James Corden

Posted on June 16, 2016

Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers joined James Corden for a rock and roll version of Carpool Karaoke. The guys were happy to ride around Los Angeles singing the band's greatest hits. They stopped for an impromptu wresting session in some random person's front year. Anthony won the match against James easily. Of course, he is a vegan and in great shape. He showed that off as they decided to remove their shirts and continue the ride. Anthony shared his fond memories of being a child and having Cher babysit him.

The group sang some of the band's many hits, including "Can't Stop", "Give It Away", "Californication", "Under the Bridge," and "Zephyr." Their new album, The Getaway, drops June 17, 2016.

In a radio interview with Radio X, Anthony revealed what didn't air during the segment. They all decided to stop the car to have a dance off, which for some reason didn't make it through the editing process, probably because the segment was too long. Then a woman came out of her house across the street and called to them. She cried out that her baby could not breathe. Kiedis said that as a dad when someone says that you rush to help.

He explained, "We all ran across the street. The lady thrust the baby into my arms. The baby was not breathing." He continued: "I thought, 'I'm going to try and do a little baby CPR real quick to see if I can get some air into this kid. I tried to open the mouth. But it was locked shut. So I started rubbing the belly, bubbles started coming out of the mouth, the eyes rolled back into place. The ambulance showed up and I handed the baby over who was breathing and fine.... Then we went back to shooting Carpool Karaoke." What an amazing adventure they had. Kiedis said he intends to check up the child when he gets back to L.A.
