Extended Trailer for Sharknado 2: The Second One Starring Ian Zeiring and Tara Reid

Syfy has released the extended trailer for Sharknado 2: The Second One which will debut on July 30th. The tagline is "Even the Sharknados are tougher in New York."

Ian Ziering and Tara Reid return as the stars in this sequel to last summer's Sharknado, which pretty much blew up social media with its hilariously cheesy storyline and special effects. This time the cast includes Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath and Kari Wuher.

This time a freak weather system spawns a deadly Sharknado on New York City. Naturally Fin (Ian Zeiring) and April (Tara Reid) are in New York when the storm hits. It's up to them to save the Statue of Liberty (alas, it looks like that didn't happen) and the populace of the Big Apple. We have no idea how Ian is going to top his iconic moment of being swallowed by a great white shark then chainsawing his way out. But we feel certain he's going to give it his best shot and we'll be there to see it.

Quite a few celebrities make cameos in the film, including Billy Ray Cyrus, Judd Hirsch, Robert Klein, Matt Lauer Kelly Osbourne and Al Roker. For some reason, Howard Stern turned down the chance to appear in the film. Here's the trailer:
