Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling Star in Teaser Trailer for Blade Runner 2049

The first teaser trailer for Ridley Scott's Blade Runner 2049 has dropped and we couldn't be more excited. The film is set 30 years after Blade Runner, which was based on the classic Philip K. Dick short story "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"

Harrison Ford returns as Rick Deckard, an LAPD blade runner whose job was to find and retire rogue replicants, human looking androids. Deckard fell in love with a replicant and ran off with her at the end of the film, while his partner, played by Edward James Olmos, apparently let them go despite his orders.

Deckard has been missing all this time. Now Office K (Ryan Gosling) has been looking for Deckard after he uncoverss a major secret that could upend society as they know it. In this trailer we hear Deckard speaking. He says, "Replicants are like any other machine -- they're either a benefit or a hazard. If they’re a benefit, it’s not my problem."

We see Officer K walk through an orange-tinted wasteland and enter an abandoned building. Deckard tells him, "I did your job once. I was good at it." Officer K responds, "Things were simpler then." We also get some shots of a neon-soaked Los Angeles and Ryan Gosling stalking through the urban landscape in a trench coat. Tonally, it's perfect. The film also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks. It hits theaters on October 6, 2017. Take a look:
