Raya and The Last Dragon Tops Box Office for Third Consecutive Weekend

Disney's animated Raya and The Last Dragon is having a great March. The film has now topped the box office for three consecutive weekends.

Topping the box office does not bring in nearly as much revenue during weekends before Covid-19 arrived but it still a success for Disney. Raya is also available through Disneyplus for $29.99 for subscribers. Disney says its streaming service eclipsed 100 million subscribers earlier this month.

Raya and The Last Dragon added 5.2 million this weekend to bring its total gross to $23.4 million. It was followed by Tom and Jerry, The Courier, Chaos Walking and The Croods: A New Age.

Theaters are starting to open up around the nation and the number of moviegoers is increasing so box office numbers should climb from pandemic lows in the months ahead. You can view the box office chart for the weekend on Box Office Mojo.
