Nope Tops Weekend Box Office

Jordan Peele has a new box office hit with his horror sf film Nope. The film opened with $44 million in theaters.
Nope stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Brandon Perea. It has an 83% Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes.
Thor: Love and Thunder fell from the top spot after winning the box office last weekend. It was followed by Minions: The Rise of Gru. Both Thor and Minions are on there way to $300+ million totals.
Minions: The Rise of Gru was followed by Where the Crawdads Sing, Top Gun: Maverick and Elvis.
The box office for Maverick has been very impressive. It has now reached over $635 million and has the biggest gross for 2022.
