SNL Faux Trailer: Disney's Live Action Bambi Starring Dwayne Johnson

The Saturday Night Live writers have taken notice of all the Disney live remakes of fairy tales. Well, now Maleficent and Cinderella have some competition from a new Disney live action film: Bambi, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Bambi. They killed his mother and now they're all going to die.

Joining Bambi on his "one last mission" is the crew from Furious 7. Vin Diesel (Taran Killam) is Thumper, Tyrese Gibson (Jay Pharoah) is Flower the Skunk and Michelle Rodriguez (Cecily Strong) is Faline, the female Bambi. Dwayne gets all the best lines and he really sells them. The guys that killed his mom "will pay....deerly." When the crew rushes into the evil hunters' den, one asks the other if they can see Bambi or a sign. Duane replies, "Here's a sign...Deer Crossing, Mother effers!!" as he does a jump and roll while shooting automatic weapons.

Jay Pharoah is funny as Tyrese doing his signature "whoop." He also plays Ludacris, who sings the title song "Wham, Bam Bambi!" which is available from Walt Disney Records. Taran Killam absolutely nails his Vin Diesel impersonation: he has the deep voice and laconic delivery down pat. In fact, we think Thumper really needs his own movie, because he's just that good.
