Donald Trump Blasts Colin Powell Following Release of Hacked Emails
Posted on September 14, 2016
Many leaked emails written by former Secretary of State Colin Powell have leaked. The emails took over the Internet today as many were surprised to read Powell gossiping about other Washington insiders in an undiplomatic fashion. Powell complains about many high ranking officials in his leaked emails, including Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld.
The New York Times reports that Powell referred to the Cheneys as "idiots" and called Rumsfield "the idiot Rummy." Politico reports that there is also an email between Powell and Condoleezza Rice discussing a temper tantrum thrown by Rumsfeld.
Powell was also extremely critical of Donald Trump. In his emails, Powell refers to Trump as a "national disgrace" and an "international pariah."
I was never a fan of Colin Powell after his weak understanding of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq = disaster. We can do much better!

Trump appears to have now read what Powell had to say about him in the leaked emails. Trump tweeted late this evening, "I was never a fan of Colin Powell after his weak understanding of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq = disaster. We can do much better!"
