Taylor Swift Debuts We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Video: All Clues Point to Jake Gyllenhaal

For Taylor Swift's new "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" video, director Declan Whitebloom went with a sense of the surreal and lots of fun. Taylor's band is dressed as furry animals who play music as she sings about her latest breakup. The video is shot in one long take and features Taylor in four different outfits, including squirrel-print pajamas and a flirty dress. The boyfriend arrives, leaves, calls, disappears, and reappears again. Finally Taylor gets exhausted from the on and off nature of the relationship and calls it off for good.

It's funny, it's clever and it's really catchy: we love it. The song is Taylor's first to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It has now sold 623,000 downloads, which is a record for a female artist.

So, who is the misbehaving ex-boyfriend? Well, the actor in the video looks like Jake Gyllenhaal, right down to his scruffy half beard. The actor wears a scarf and the walls of Taylor's house are covered in sweater material. They stroll hand in hand through a fruit orchard.
