Adam Sandler Nominated for a Record Eleven Razzies

The nominees for the 32nd annual Razzie Awards have been announced. The awards are given for the worst performances and worst movies.

Adam Sandler broke Eddie Murphy's old record for the most nominations in a single year. Sandler is up for eleven Razzies, which is more than double Murphy's previous record of five. Sandler's movie, Jack & Jill, garnered 12 nominations, including Worst Picture. The other films up for Worst Picture include: Bucky Larson, New Year's Eve, Transformers 3 and Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I.

Russell Brand, Nicolas Cage, Taylor Lautner, Adam Sandler and Nick Swardson are up for Worst Actor. Sarah Palin was nominated for Worst Actress despite playing herself in Sarah Palin: The Undefeated. She is joined by Martin Lawrence, Sarah Jessica Parker, Adam Sandler and Kristen Stewart. Lawrence and Sandler both play female roles which is how they wound up in the worst actress category.
