Amanda Bynes is Canned

Amanda Bynes is starring in a new ABC comedy pilot called Canned. Amanda plays a naive midwesterner named Sarabeth who is taken advantage of by her boss.

We like Amanda Bynes: she's very funny. It will be interesting to see how many more workplace comedies network audiences are in the mood for.

The Hollywood Reporter says the series follows a group of friends who are let go after a "corporate shake-up." Hence the name of the series.

Other pilot stars include Tim Peper, Stephanie Lemelin and Baron Vaughn.

Update: This pilot never made it to TV screens. It is listed in a book called Encyclopedia of Unaired Television Pilots. Canned is listed as a movie on its IMDB page.
