Colin Farrell and Jeffrey Dean Morgan Star in First Trailer for Solace

The first trailer for the thriller Solace is out and it looks fascinating. Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays FBI Special Agent Joe Merriwether who is investigating a series of killings. He decides to call in Dr. John Clancy (Anthony Hopkins), who is a retired doctor with a powerful psychic gift. Clancy retired from his work after his daughter died and his wife left him, and only reluctantly agrees to consult on the case.

Abbie Cornish co-stars as Merriwether's FBI partner Agent Katherine Cowles. Colin Farrell stars as a vicious serial killer who also has psychic powers. He and Hopkins have a cat and mouse game going on as the team works hard to solve the case and stop the killings.

Afonso Poyart directed the film, which also stars Matt Gerald, Marley Shelton, Xander Berkeley, Kenny Johnson and Sharon Lawrence. The film hits theaters December 16, 2016. Take a look:
