Jennifer Lawrence Goes to War in the Trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2

It's finally here: the full trailer for the last Hunger Games movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. In this last chapter of the popular franchise, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) goes to war with the evil President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and his troops in the Capitol. Katniss leads the rebellion in an attack on the Capitol, but Snow has plenty of tricks up his sleeves for the rebels.

All the districts of Panem have united to overthrow the dictatorship led by Snow. Katniss and her loyal friends, Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin) are on a mission to take out Snow once and for all. In attacking the Capitol they end up in the ultimate Hunger Games, as the Capitol city is booby trapped with deadly traps. Katniss has morphed into a full fledged warrior and her ensemble reflects that fact. She's at war. The people still love her and will follow her lead, but it's clear that the personal cost will be very high. The trailer gives us a glimpse of Finnick's wedding, but it's a happy moment set among a great deal of violence. The traps laid for Katniss and her crew are myriad -- everywhere they step they could be drowned, boiled or burned when they stand. They spend a great deal of time running from danger in the city.

Philip Seymour Hoffman had filmed most of his scenes as Plutarch Heavensbee, the gamemaker turned rebel, before his death in 2014. Julianne Moore, Jena Malone, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Jeffrey Wright, and Stanley Tucci all return. The film was directed by Francis Lawrence and hits theaters on November 20, 2015.
