Jim Henson's Hoobs to Debut on Sprout

The Hoobs is a new series created by the Jim Henson Company. The series is debuting December 25th on Sprout, the 24-hour preschool destination from PBS Kids. The series debuts with a "Happy Hooby Holidays" marathon from noon - 6 p.m. EST on the December 25th. Hoobs Tula and Groove will appear as special guest hosts for the marathon.

Set in the sunny, colorful Hoobland, The Hoobs are great explorers who learn about planet Earth by posing different questions to all the children that they encounter along the way. In each episode, they try to find the answer to a question which they put into the great Hoobopaedia created by Hubba Hubba Hoob back in Hoobland. The four main Hoobs - Tula, Groove, Iver and Roma - live in the Hoobmobile and travel to all parts of the world in their quest for discovery and learning.

"This age group is all about learning and discovery, and The Hoobs encourage preschoolers to ask questions, explore new ideas, think creatively and communicate with confidence."

The Jim Henson Company has always been able to produce entertaining shows using their muppets and unique voice talents. These muppets have been made very colorful to help them appeal to the very young Sprout audience. The Hoobs have already been seen in the UK for the past few years.
