Trailer for Kick-Ass Starring Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnston, Christopher Mintz-Plasse

Here's the trailer for Kick Ass, which tells the story of superheroes who don't have super powers. But they can -- wait for it -- kick your ass. The film stars Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Mark Strong and Chloe Grace Moretz. Little Chloe wears a purple costume and purple wig as they surprisingly fast and tough Hit Girl.

The film, which is based on the comic book series by Mark Millar, hits theaters on April 16th. It is directed by Matthew Vaughn. It looks like a unique and compelling film. Take a look:

In another clip, Kick-Ass' romantic gesture does not go as planned. Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) sneaks up on Katie Deauxma (Lyndsy Fonseca) while dressed as his alter ego, Kick-Ass.
