Trailer for Kon-Tiki Starring Pal Sverre Valheim Hagen and Gustaf Skarsgard

Here is the trailer for Kon-Tiki, the story of explorer Thor Heyerdal's amazing journey across the Pacific Ocean in a balsa wood raft in 1947. Heyerdal made the voyage to prove it was possible for South Americans to have settled Polynesia in pre-Columbian times.

Heyerdal and his small crew endured everything from shark attacks to terrible weather, but their successful journey captivated the world. He wrote a book about the voyage which was an international bestseller and the film he shot on the trip became an Oscar award-winning documentary.

The film stars Pal Sverre Valheim Hagen as Thor Heyerdahl, Odd Magnus Williamson as Erik Hesselberg, Gustaf Skarsgard as Bengt Danielsson and Anders Baasmo Christensen as Herman Watzinger. Take a look:
