Les Miserables Wins Christmas Day Box Office

Les Miserables won the box office on Christmas Day with a take of $18.1 million. Box Office Mojo reports that this is the biggest Christmas Day box office for a musical and the fourth highest Christmas Day box office overall.

Django Unchained was not far behind. It made $15 million. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - which has topped the box office the past two weekends - was the third top film on Christmas Day and made $11.3 million. You can see the complete box office report here.
